Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Oban

Arrive at Oban and settle into your accommodations. Enjoy a welcome dinner and an evening relaxation session to kickstart your retreat.

Day 2: Glencoe

We have a short drive today.  Our first stop will be a viewpoint where we get lovely views of Castle Stalker in the middle of the Loch.

We then  drive on to Glencoe Visitor Centre, which is run by the National Trust for Scotland.  Hopefully, there will be a bit of snow on the mountains, and you can visit the renovated Creel that was the style of 'house' used in this area centuries ago.  There are also woodland walks of 1-3 miles, which are not too taxing.

Day 3: Island Hopping

We have an early, 50 minute, sailing from Oban to Craignure, on Mull.

We then drive the scenic, single track, road across the Island to Phionnaphort, where we have a very short, 10 minute, sail over to Iona.

We then embark on a guided tour of Iona, exploring its historic sites, tranquil beaches, and spiritual landmarks.

After 2-3 hours on Iona (dependent on ferry times) we head home towards Oban, via two ferries!

Day 4: The journey home

We drive to McCaig's Tower for some final photographs of Oban Harbour, before we head for home.  We stop at Luss on the journey, to see the 'bonnie, bonnie, banks' of Loch Lomond.  If you are a wild swimmer, you can swim in the Loch, but it will be 'brass monkeys' as we say in Scotland!

A quick stop at Moffat on the journey home to stock up on 'Moffat Toffees', which I can categorically say are the best in the world!
